AmaZulu FC have finally made a decision on the futures of first-team trio Xola Mlambo, Augustine Mulenga and Siyanda Xulu.

Xulu who had been training with the DStv Premiership outfit for several months has been finally informed he will not be signed to a permanent contract.

Meanwhile, the KwaZulu-Natal side decided to similarly not renew former Orlando Pirates midfielder Mlambo’s contract.

The 30-year-old has featured 30 times for Usuthu this season, in all competitions, scoring a solitary goal.

Head coach Brandon Truter’s side are currently undergoing an overhaul and have already roped in top talents such as Malawian forward Gabadinho Mhango.

According to club president Sandile Zungu, Zambian winger Augustine Mulenga who played in only 21 of the club’s matches this season will also not be kept on.

“Siyanda Xulu was never with the club,” Zungu tells KickOff.

“He was only granted permission to train with AmaZulu while he was temporarily clubless.”

As for Xola Mlambo, his contract with AmaZulu ends now and the option that AmaZulu has on his services will not be exercised.

“Mulenga, same as Xola Mlambo, we will not be exercising our option.”
