It is believed that Usuthu have overtaken both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the race to sign an in-demand midfielder.
According to Soccer-laduma, the interest in Ndlondlo’s services showed no sign of slowing down as AmaZulu became the latest club to express an interest in the midfielder.
His team Marumo Gallants, however have been adamant on holding onto their pint-sized star and have on numerous occasions issued a ‘hands off’ sign on the 26-year-old who is still contracted to the Polokwane-based outfit.
However, the latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Usuthu are in pole position to sign Ndlondlo.
According to Soccer-laduma, Usuthu, who have already roped in eight new players ahead of the upcoming season, have made a formal approach to Gallants for Ndlondlo and are understood to be in advanced talks with Gallants.
With the player understood to still have a year left on his existing contract with Gallants, the two clubs are in the process of negotiating a transfer fee that could see Ndlondlo return to the club where he spent some time in the DStv Diski Challenge.
It does however remain to be seen whether Usuthu manage to sway Gallants into selling their prized asset, especially with both Chiefs and Pirates understood to still be in the picture.
