Following a report alleging that Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos is frustrated with midfielder Sipho Mbule, agent Mike Makaab has responded by dismissing it.
A report by Sportswire this week alleged that Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is frustrated with Mbule’s conduct and is unlikely to have him in the final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup later this year.

Mbule was at the Africa Cup of Nations with the national team not so long ago, but was not included in the Bafana preliminary squad for the upcoming friendly internationals against Panama.
Makaab says this was because he was injured.
Mbule recently returned to the Orlando Pirates matchday squad after some time spent on the sidelines.
The former SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder returned for the Buccaneers in their Betway Premiership clash against Siwelele FC over the weekend, coming on as a second-half substitute.
Makaab commented on the report suggesting Mbule is no longer in the plans of Broos due to his conduct.

“I dont want to comment on that. There is nothing to comment, the guy played in the last game for Pirates. I don’t have to comment,” Makaab said.
Hugo Broos announced his final squad that will face Panama later this month.
