The Agent Mike Makaab of Kobamelo Kodisang, has provided a small update with regards to his situation at Braga and a potential move to another club on loan.
Kodisang has spent a lot of time in the Braga B team but made his debut in the first team in April this year, which impressed Braga coach Carlos Carvalhal.
“Braga has extended KK’s contract and I think we said that before, they’ve exercised their option, ” said the Prosport agent on Gagasi FM.
“KK is a top class young player, it’s not gonna be easy for us to move him away from the club but what we’ve done, we’ve made it clear to them that we will not accept him being loaned out to a club in the Portuguese second division.
“If that’s the case we will rather consider bringing him back to South Africa.
That’s where we stand at the moment, we have to respect that KK is contracted to Braga but we are doing everything in our power to find a solution for the young man, most importantly for his football career.
” So whatever his next move is we can’t guarantee game time, at least there must be a real opportunity for him to get good game time.
One of the considerations would be for him to come back here [PSL], it’s not the only consideration but it is a consideration.”
Makaab went on to answer whether or not the player is still in the country, which could further amplify speculation on a potential move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Kodisang, who grew up in Taung, a small town in the North West, broke onto the scene as a 15-year-old.
“KK is still in South Africa, but he is due to fly back to Portugal to commence the pre-season training with Braga,” added Makaab.
“Unless something happens before then.”
