It is believed that Amakhosi are closing in on their next signing in the June transfer window ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Kaizer Chiefs have already secured the services of Zitha Kwinika and Ashley du Preez from Stellenbosch while iDiski times have confirmed they are in talks with Braga SC over Kobamelo Kodisang.

Swallows trio George Matlou, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Dillan Solomons are among the players closing in on moves to the club, as well as Sekhukhune United captain Yusuf Maart.

And agent Mike Makaab, who represents Kodisang and Mahlatsi has now confirmed that one of the deals is close to being finalised with the Soweto giants.

“We are well advanced with one deal but I’m not at the liberty to discuss it right now because it’s sensitive but we’re well advanced for Kaizer Chiefs,” Makaab said on Gagasi FM on Friday.

“We’re advanced with talks, I can’t tell you which club it is, I can’t tell you which club or player because I would be giving it away but I’m pretty confident by the end of next week or start to the following week we’ll conclude a deal for a player to join Amakhosi.

So it’s almost a done deal in principle.”

Kaizer Chiefs released ten players last month while the likes of Anthony Akumu Agay was transfer-listed as part of their dramatic overhaul.
