Popular polygamist Musa Mseleku’s daughter, Abongwe Mseleku, wants to make a name for herself. She does not want to be known only as a member of the famous Mseleku family.
Abongwe is featured in her family’s popular reality shows about polygamy, Uthando Nes’thembu and Izingane Zes’thembu.

Now, she has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture. This cements her place in the television and film industry.
While she’s one of the stars in her family’s reality shows, she also wants to be a star behind the scenes.
She graduated from AFDA in Joburg on Saturday, 28 March. However, her pictures and videos started to trend on Tuesday, 31 March.
The 21-year-old Abongwe told Daily Sun that after this graduation, all she can do is pray and work hard.
She wants to build her own name as Abongwe Mseleku, and not just Abongwe from the popular Mseleku family.
“This graduation means a lot to me because it doesn’t just bring praise to me for my hard work, but to God, my parents, and everyone who stands with me at all times. It serves as motivation to those who came after me and to every black child,” she said.
“Being on TV has shaped my life in many different ways, and I’ve reached a place where I wear it with pride because my dad really worked hard for it to be achieved,” she said.

Abongwe said studying film as a TV star was very interesting. Being behind the camera felt so different, yet exciting at the same time. She explained that she got to learn much more than just hitting a record button.
“It has been a blessing to share this experience with my parents. Two years was a dreadful time, but two years later I smiled and praised the Lord for keeping both my parents to see this day,” she said.
Abongwe is Mseleku’s second daughter to graduate. This comes after Mpiloenhle Mseleku bagged a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Politics and History from UKZN.
Musa Mseleku told Daily Sun that they will be forever grateful for what Abongwe has done. He said she has made both past and future generations proud.
“I’ve been saying Abongwe will lead us, and it looks like we were right. We were blessed and humbled by Mpiloenhle’s graduation.”

“We owe it to MaKhumalo for raising her, and her mother for giving us an opportunity.”
“I will always say education is the mother and the father. I congratulate both of them for leading the way,” the proud dad said.
