Glody Lilepo has officially brought the curtain down on his Kaizer Chiefs career, penning an emotional farewell message to the club and its supporters after completing his move to Libyan giants Al Ahly Benghazi.

The Congolese attacker was unveiled by his new club this week, ending a productive spell at Naturena in which he established himself as one of Amakhosi’s standout performers.

Lilepo leaves Chiefs after making 56 appearances in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists.

His final full season proved particularly impressive, as he finished the 2025/26 campaign with nine goals, ending as the club’s second-highest scorer behind Wandile Duba and cementing his status as one of Chiefs’ most influential players.

Following confirmation of his departure, Lilepo took to social media to thank everyone associated with the Soweto giants.

“It is with emotion that my journey with you comes to an end,” he wrote in part.

Chiefs have strengthened their team with the signing of Langelihle Phili, who was Stellenbosch FC’s top goal scorer last season.
