According to the statement, the two artists were travelling with members of their team when the incident occurred.

“We confirm that Thatohatsi and Tracy were involved in a motor vehicle accident earlier today alongside members of their road team, including their driver Thabiso, DJ Seun1401, and road manager Senzo,” management said.

The statement further reassured fans and the public that, despite the scare, no fatalities were reported.

“We are relieved to share that all individuals are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention.”

“We are grateful for the swift response from emergency services and the support shown during this time,” they said.

Thatohatsi, whose real name is Thatohatsi Raphadi, is a fast-rising vocalist from Payneville in Springs, Gauteng.

She has gained widespread recognition for her soulful, church-influenced voice and her hit song, Xolele.

Her profile grew significantly after she became the most featured artist on Kabza De Small’s 2025 album Bab’Motha, cementing her place as one of the genre’s promising talents.

Tracy, born Lethiwe Tracy Sibiya, hails from Soweto and has carved her own path in the amapiano scene.

Known for her powerful vocals and contributions to the private school piano sound, she has collaborated with leading producers such as DJ Stokie, Kelvin Momo, and MDU aka TRP.

Management emphasised that the immediate focus remains on recovery.

“At this stage, our priority is their health and recovery. We kindly ask for privacy for Thatohatsi, Tracy, and the entire team as they rest and receive care,” the statement read.

They also assured supporters that more information will be shared when appropriate.
