Ahead of the funeral service, Premier Ntuli visited the Mnyango family homestead to personally convey condolences and pay homage to the relatives of the deceased.

The visit formed part of the provincial government’s efforts to support grieving families during moments of profound loss.

Delivering his condolence message during the service, Premier Ntuli expressed deep sadness at the loss of life and extended sympathies to the Mnyango family and the broader community.

He used the occasion to raise concern about the increasing number of fatal accidents along the N2 corridor, noting that many incidents are linked to human error, including reckless driving and non-compliance with road safety regulations.

The Premier called for sustained law enforcement visibility along the N2 and other major routes, stressing that enhanced policing, responsible road use and public awareness are essential to reducing fatalities.

The Provincial Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening road safety interventions, improving enforcement coordination and promoting responsible driving behaviour to prevent further tragedies on KwaZulu-Natal’s roads.
