Emotions ran high as the late popular security guard David Sejobe was laid to rest on Saturday, 7 February at Ha-Mashamba in Venda, Limpopo.
Family, friends, colleagues and community members came out in large numbers to bid farewell to a man remembered for his kindness and love for people.

David, a well-known and friendly face at the MultiChoice building in Randburg, north of Joburg, tragically died after being involved in an accident while cycling to work on Friday, 30 January.
His death shocked many who knew him as a humble, hardworking man who always greeted everyone with a smile.
The funeral service was both emotional and dignified, with mourners filling the venue as they gathered to celebrate his life.
MR21 Funeral Parlour handled the service with great care and professionalism, earning praise from attendees for ensuring that everything ran smoothly and respectfully on the day.
As the service continued, the pain of loss became impossible to hide. David’s daughters couldn’t hold back their tears when the casket was lowered into the grave, breaking down as they watched their dad being laid to rest.
The moment left many mourners emotional, with the sound of crying echoing across the cemetery.
Adding a deeply personal touch, a tombstone featuring a bicycle was unveiled, symbolising David’s daily routine and the way he spent his final moments doing what he did best going to work to provide for his family.
The bicycle also reflected his humble lifestyle and dedication to his responsibilities.
Community members, colleagues from work and friends stood side by side, united in grief, as they paid their final respects.
Many described David as a man who loved people, worked with pride and treated everyone with dignity, regardless of who they were.

As the final prayers were said and the grave was sealed, it was clear that David leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work and kindness.
