Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Darrel Matsheke is reportedly attracting interest from several PSL clubs, including one of the Limpopo-based sides.

Matsheke returned to the job market after being released by Betway Premiership outfit Marumo Gallants in December last year, without making a single competitive appearance for the club.

The 27-year-old midfielder had joined Gallants at the start of the 2025/26 season, following his departure from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Kruger United.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the Amakhosi academy product quickly became surplus to requirements under new head coach Alexandre Lafitte.

Matsheke was amongst several players, including fellow ex-Chiefs midfielders Phathutshedzo Nange and Kamohelo Mahlatsi, who were not part of the French tactician’s plans.

Now, sources tell KickOff that Matsheke could be on his way to Betway Premiership club Magesi FC ahead of the second round of the 2025/26 season.

Although no agreement has been reached at this stage, Dikwena Tsa Meetse are reportedly interested in securing his services.

Additionally, his former club Kruger United are said to be keeping tabs on him as they look to bring him back to bolster their squad in their title push.

Moreover, another top-tier side TS Galaxy, were also reportedly monitoring him, but they are no longer pursuing his signature, according to sources close to the player.
