Despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals and the unwavering support of his family, he sadly passed away on Sunday, 4 January, leaving behind a community deeply saddened by the loss of such a young life.

Pupils of Kgoptjane Primary School, together with their teachers, family members and villagers, gathered in deep sorrow to pay their last respects to little Teboho during a heartbreaking funeral service.

The atmosphere was filled with grief and silence as the community came together to mourn the loss of a young life taken too soon.

Tears, prayers and words of comfort were shared as everyone stood united in support of the family, honouring Teboho’s memory with love, compassion and dignity.

Teboho was described as a young boy who already had serious plans for his family when he grew up.

Despite his tender age, he often spoke about becoming a successful businessman one day, determined to change the lives of those he loved.

Among his dreams was a heartfelt promise to buy an exclusive car for his uncle, Tseko Nhlapo, as a way of showing gratitude and pride.

His class teacher at Kgoptjane Primary School, Jwalane Tshabalala, described Teboho as a very clever boy who consistently showed respect to his teachers and hard work in his studies.

He was known for his good manners, discipline and willingness to listen and learn, setting a positive example for his classmates.

“It is incredibly difficult to bury a pupil I watched struggle every day. I saw him taking large amounts of medication on a daily basis, fighting battles far beyond his years. It’s heartbreaking to lose him,” she said.

Teboho’s uncle Tseko Nhlapo told Daily Sun the death of his nephew broke the whole family’s hearts.
