Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Edson Castillo has finally found a new club six months after leaving Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The Venezuelan midfielder was among a handful of players who left the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign and became a free agent.

However, the 31-year-old has remained patient after penning a deal with Venezuelan outfit Carabobo FC.

Castillo becomes Venezuelan side’s first signing ahead of the January transfer window.

The midfielder joined the Soweto giants from Monagas SC in 2023 and quickly endured himself to the supporters with some impressive goals.

Castillo netted 11 goals in 46 appearances for Chiefs and was also part of the squad that won the Nedbank Cup title last season.
