Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest wits star Elias Pelembe has been named in Mozambique’s final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker is currently the third oldest player to compete at the AFCON following his appearance at the previous edition.

Pelembe, now 42, is set to become the second players in tournament history after being called up the final squad on Saturday. Egypt’s Essam El Hadary holds the record at 44 years of ag.

Polokwane City midfielder Manuel Kambala has also been included in Chiquinho Conde’s 25-man squad.
