Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi has been handed a suspended sentence in the Pretoria high court.

This is after he entered a plea agreement with the state due to his poor health.

Agrizzi who was facing three counts of corruption and one of money laundering was handed 10 years for each count.

Agrizzi was facing charges of corruption and money laundering for his role in Bosasa’s dodgy dealings with government.

His matter has been finalised in the Pretoria high court

The former Bosasa COO has not been attending court proceedings physically but has been seen on a screen lying on his bed with tubes in his nose.

After much probing and questioning Judge Papi Mosopa approved the plea agreement with strict conditions.

In exchange for his freedom Agrizzi will have to cooperate with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in investigations and testify truthfully against the accused in Bosasa- related corruption.

If he fails to comply with these conditions he will be imprisoned.
