Family, friends and community members are gathered at the funeral service of two cousins who were shot dead in Mamelodi, East of Pretoria last week.

Twenty-two-year-old Tshiamo and 21-year-old Baleseng Moramaga will be laid to rest at Luckau village outside Groblersdal in Limpopo.

The cousins’ bodies were found on Sunday morning.

The accused, 38-year-old Tebogo Mnisi, has been remanded in custody by the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court.

Family spokesperson Edward Moramaga says they are still devastated.

“When we heard about this incident, it evoked strong emotions. We’re having trouble sleeping at night, and our emotions are running high.”

“It’s painful, and it’s even more painful because we’re told it was done by one person. We’re asking ourselves how he could take their lives.”
