Swallows FC striker Ruzaigh Gamildien has found a new club, making it his ninth professional club in his nomadic career, the Siya crew has been informed.

Santos, Bloemfontein Celtic, AmaZulu, Milano United, Steenberg, Chippa United and more recently Swallows FC are just some of the club’s that the 33-year-old has turned out for since breaking into the PSL back in 2010.

And now the latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Royal AM have been added to that list!

The veteran forward is understood to have penned a deal with the KZN outfit, during Swallows’ play-off campaign, where they beat Cape Town All Stars and the University of Pretoria to maintain their topflight status.

The striker, who was on the books of Chippa United the season before had received a new lease on life in the 2020/21 season with the Birds, when under then-coach Brandon Truter where he finished the season with 11 league goals – his highest ever tally.

In the season gone by, Gamildien, like his team Swallows, experienced a dip in form, which yielded just eight goals in 30 appearances in all competitions.

Gamildien is among a number of players who will bid farewell to Swallows with the likes of Dillon Solomons and Kamohelo Mahlatsi understood to be heading to Kaizer Chiefs, while the club’s on-loan players Monnapule Saleng, Jody February, Grant Margerman, Yagan Sasman, Keletso Makgalwa and Austin Muwowo will all head back to their respective clubs.
