Reeve Peter Frosler is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a right back for Kaizer Chiefs in the South African Premier Division.

FOOTBALL CAREER

Bidvest Wits

Frosler started his career as a winger in the Bidvest Wits academy before being converted to the full-back position by coach Gavin Hunt.

He made 11 appearances in his debut season during which he helped the club win its first ever PSL title.

Ahead of the 2018–19 campaign, Frosler reportedly refused a new contract with Wits which resulted in him being frozen out at the club.

By the half-way mark of the season, he had not played a single minute of football and signed a pre-contract with the club’s rivals, Kaizer Chiefs.

Although initially meant to join the club in June, Frosler joined Kaizer Chiefs on the transfer deadline in January 2019 after an agreement was reached with Wits.

BACKGROUND

Growing up in a football oriented family, Reeve was destined to be in soccer. His father was a coach, and Reeve started playing football at 5. This is how they bonded. His family was always very supportive of his talents.

EDUCATION

Reeve started his education at Triomf Primary School in Salsoneville. He then transferred to Victoria Park High School, where he studied for his matric.

However, his matric exam was scheduled for the same day as his match in Chile for the U-17 world cup. As a result, he ended up writing in May of 2016.

CAREER

Reeve joined Fairview Rovers Football Club in Port Elizabeth, fresh from high school. He then kicks started his career as a winger in the Bidvest Wits academy.

Reeve then got a promotion to the senior side of the team in 2017. This was when Coach Gavin Hunt converted him to a full-back position, and he made 11 appearances during this time.

He was instrumental, during his debut season, to the team’s first-ever PSL title. Before the 2018-2019  Premier Division, Reeve refused to sign a new contract under Wits.

He was also supposed to go for trials with a Portuguese Primeira Liga club, Vitoria Guimaraes SC, but he did not make it. As a result, the club froze him out.

As of 2020, he is estimated to be worth R2 million. Most of his net worth is derived from his salary from the Chiefs. At the height of his career, his net worth was approximated to be worth R2,5 million.

The former Bidvest Wits is currently in the top ten of the highest paid players at Kaizer Chiefs. He is earning about R150 000 per month at Amakhosi.

LOVE LIFE

He is a very private fellow. However, he does not shy away from showing love to his long time girlfriend, Jade Darnelle Davids. The two are couple goals in their love for each other.

They got married not so long ago, so, she is no longer a girlfriend but now a wife.
