Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali has reportedly STOPPED training with his teammates following a fallout with one of the coaches.
According to a source known to TouchlineNewsSA, Jali last showed up at the Sundowns training base in Chloorkop on Wednesday, 22 February.
“The last time Jali attended Sundowns training was on Wednesday, 22 February,” said the source known to the publication.
“And since then, he has been sitting at home and the situation is not looking good,” added the source.
Meanwhile, TimesLIVE reports, through a source known to them, that Jali is frustrated that Sundowns don’t want to allow him to leave simply because his heart is with Chiefs.
The publication claims that Jali, at one stage, arrived at Chloorkop for training under the influence of alcohol as an indication that he no longer wants to be at Sundowns.
Jali’s contract with Sundowns expires on 30 June, and the two parties have been negotiating a new deal since 2022 without being able to reach an agreement.
It is unclear, at this stage, if Sundowns have or will take disciplinary action against Jali for the two incidents, and perhaps try and meet him halfway on his demands.
But one thing is for sure, Sundowns don’t want to lose Jali for free, especially to Chiefs as they previously have with the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Khama Billiat.
