The 30-year-old Cameroon striker joined Orlando Pirates from Chippa United this season.

He scored 10 goals last term for the Chilli Boys in 29 games but has just one goal for Bucs in 12 appearances in all competitions.

Chickelday, who recently spent time coaching the Pirates strikers, explained that Eva Nga won’t be able to perform at his best if he isn’t given minutes on the pitch.

The experienced coach said on Metro FM: “Eva Nga, needs game time to get back to the top. And show everyone what he is made of.

“Unfortunately, you cannot go into a game with six strikers, it is only about two or three.

“However, it’s really hard to get back in when you’ve been on the sidelines because there are many strikers at Pirates.”

Chickelday added that he hopes to return to South Africa in the future.

“South Africa is a great place. I would love to come back, whether it’s at Pirates or elsewhere,” he said.

“I was impressed with the talent in South Africa. But, it just needs to be nurtured more.”
