Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett has once again hailed Orlando Pirates loanee Boitumelo Radiopane describing him as a future Bafana Bafana star.
Radiopane scored a scotcher of a goal to give Spurs the much needed 3-2 win against Baroka in Lebowakgomo on Wednesday.
The goal, which was the match winner, ensured the Urban Warriors jump to second spot on the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
It was the fifth goal of the season for Radiopane who was a handful to watch for the Bakgaga defense.
“He is a great talent, hopefully he is going to keep his good head on his shoulders, keep his speed on the ground. Because the ability is always there and that’s important and also to stay humble in order to achieve success. Hopefully he will also do well for this country in the near future,” said Bartlett after the match.
“Again, these are basic things that we keep showing them week in and week out. How to move, off the ball and with throw-ins and setplays.
Spurs are now equal on points with log leaders Polokwane with nine matches to play. The former Charlton Athletic striker days they are not worried about what other promotion competitors do, but are more focused on themselves.
“For us it’s important to focus on ourselves and not worry about what Polokwane or Casric do. We have to make sure we also win our games because we can’t allow other teams to drop points and we don’t win our games.
“So we have to make sure we focus on our things and the same thing is going to happen on Saturday against Hungry Lions.”
