The UEFA Europa League last-16 draw took place in Nyon today and brought us some exciting ties.

In this round the winners of the Europa League group stages, were paired with the teams that advanced from the knockout round play-off, which were played over the last two weeks.

Two teams from the same association could not be drawn against each other.

Premier League leaders Arsenal will face Portuguese giants Sporting SC, while Manchester United take on LaLiga side Real Betis.

It will be United’s third clash with a Spanish side this season after they faced Real Sociedad twice in the group stages, beating them 1-0 in Spain after losing 1-0 at the Old Trafford, before knocking leaders FC Barcelona out in the play-off round, beating them 4-3 on aggregate.
