Agent Mike Makaab has explained what’s most important for Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah in the coming months for him to secure a dream move overseas.
Ndah was heavily linked with Italian Serie A side Sassuolo in the January transfer window, while the Siya crew understands that there has been interest in Sweden for the services of the Nigerian defender, but an injury had an effect on the player in terms of securing a move last month.
The 25-year-old has been in training with the Buccaneers in recent weeks as he makes his way back to full fitness and it will be important for him to get back into the starting line-up of the Soweto giants on a regular basis to put himself in a position of possibly making a move abroad when the current campaign comes to an end.
Ndah, who has not featured for Pirates since the 1-0 defeat to Kaizer Chefs at the end of October last year, has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Buccaneers and will be determined to finish the season on a high by playing as many matches as possible.
The Buccaneers are open to selling Ndah and cash in.
“There was interest just before the injury. He has just recovered from an injury. He is back in full training.
“There has been overseas interest, but the main thing for now is to focus his energy on getting back and winning his way back into the starting 11, because the team is doing well, and then performing at the same high consistent level that he did when he first came to Orlando Pirates.
“We will have to let that unfold the way it unfolds,” Makaab said to the Siya crew.
