The tickets for the CAF Champions League match between Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns were reportedly sold out in 15 minutes.

Only 10 000 tickets were made available for this titanic clash between the two African giants for the match that will be played at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 21:00 SA time.

Sundowns head into this encounter in full control of Group B having collected six points from their opening two matches.

Al Ahly, on the other hand, are smarting from their 1-0 loss to Al-Hilal in what was their opening Group B match last weekend.

And this promises to be an exciting encounter full of emotions given the history between the two sides, and referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa will have to be on top of his game on the night.

Meanwhile, Sundowns on Monday dethroned Al Ahly as the top ranked club on the African continent in the latest Football Database rankings.
