As mandated by the PSL DC, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have formally apologised to the match officials they threatened to bewitch.
The club and official Lavhelesani Mukomafhedzi were fined after appearing before the DC on 10 February.
It is said that the club’s kit manager Lavhelesani Mukomafhedzi harassed the match officials after a Motsepe Foundation Championship League match against Venda Football Academy on 27 January.
He took samples of the soil the match official walked on, supposedly to use to bewitch him. TTM lost 2-1 on the day. The club was fined a monetary amount of R 100 000. R50 00 was suspended on condition that during a period of 12 months, they are not found guilty of the same offence.
Mukomafhedzi was also fined R 80 000. R 40 000 was also suspended for 12 months.

RE: APOLOGY LETTER
1. The reason behind writing this letter is to express our sincere apologies for the actions of Mr L Mukomafhedzi during the match which was played at Thohoyandou Stadium on 27 January 2023 against Venda Football Academy F.C.
2. Mr L Mukomafhedzi has accepted full responsibility for his action. He acted out of turn, and his behaviour was not appropriate and did not reflect the respect that was expected from a club official towards match officials. This behaviour has brought the game, sponsors, the clubs, the League, SAFA, CAF and FIFA into disrepute. There is no excuse for such kind of bad behaviour.
3. Mr L Mukomafhedzi has realised that his behaviour was wrong and unacceptable. The use of abusive language and making threats towards match officials is serious misconduct. e admits that he was wrong and accepts guilt.
4. We can assure Mr Athuzolo, the match officials and the League, including all stakeholders that such incidents will never occur again.
