Arthur Zwane’s injury crisis at Kaizer Chiefs will be causing him sleepless nights while another key player has picked up the FLU.

Arthur Zwane’s side are fresh off a hard-fought Nedbank Cup win against Maritzburg United over the weekend.

Golden Arrows are also high in confidence after bypassing Pretoria Callies in their Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash last weekend.

Both sides are desperate for points in the DStv Premiership with Chiefs sitting on just 28 points after 19 matches.

Arrows are flirting with danger and head into today’s clash, sitting one point above the relegation zone.

Arthur Zwane’s side look set to be without these seven players this afternoon due to injury.

Khama Billiat, Eric Mathoho, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Reeve Frosler and Dillan Solomons remain out through injury.

Furthermore, Edmilson Dove is out with the flu while Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana is also another major injury concern.

“I think these things (injuries) are happening for a reason. They happen to the best teams and players. It’s a case of us coming up with a plan like we’ve been doing.” Arthur Zwane told IOL.

“I am not that worried. Even though the list is growing. We are hoping that some of the players will be back before the season ends because we need them.

“My role is to keep everyone in the loop and ensure that they are part and parcel of the team. And in Tower’s (Mathoho’s) case, there’s no exception despite his contract.

“But the focus now is more on the individuals that we can help recover fully, and we’ll take it from there. We want the players who are ready and fit to compete.”
