Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has officially been SUSPENDED by the PSL. Here’s all the shocking details including the length of his ban.
It’s not everyday a coach gets suspended, or red carded for that matter.

However, this was the unfortunate case for a very angry Jose Riveiro who will now serve a two-match suspension as a result of his red card, according to Orlando Pirates official Instagram page.
Riveiro was shown a red card in the 60th minute of their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 match against All Stars.
This, after he expressed his anger and frustration towards officials.

Therefore, he will serve an official suspension from the PSL.
Meaning, Riveiro will not be allowed on the sidelines when the Bucs take on Maritzburg United in the DStv Premiership on Friday, 17 February 2023 and for the crucial Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs on 25 February 2023.
On the hour mark, Riveiro was seen expressing his anger towards officials which resulted in the sending off by match official Xola Sitelo.
Mandla Ncikazi will step up on an interim basis for the PSL encounter against United.

Ncikazi has not been head coach since Riveiro took over at the start of the season.
However, this will change on Friday with Ncikazi earning the chance to take full charge from the sidelines.
