Now, according to well-placed sources, Jali would welcome a move to the Mother City.

With City having lost an experienced campaigner in Mpho Makola before the end of the January transfer window, the club is understood to have identified Jali as the ideal replacement for the player.

Despite his bright 2021/22 campaign that saw him being nominated for five PSL awards at the end of the season, Andile Jali has seen a decline in his game-time this campaign having made 14 appearances in all competitions, with 10 of those coming as a starter.
