Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Baloyi has resurfaced at a struggling PSL club with the hope of securing his next contract.
The journeyman has already featured for the likes of Swallows FC, Bloemfontein Celtic/Royal AM and Maritzburg United in the past.
And now, new reports suggest he’s training with relegation threatened Marumo Gallants ahead of a potential move.
Baloyi made over 230 appearances in the PSL and his experience will undoubtedly help the struggling Gallants.
“A former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has started training with a Limpopo based side in hope of landing himself a contract.” – The south African reported.
“Lucky Baloyi is pushing to make the cut at Gallants in Limpopo so he can help the team from being relegated, as they find themselves rock bottom at the moment.”
To add to Kaizer Chiefs’ woes, reports suggest the Amakhosi rejected the opportunity to sign at least three quality players.
As reported by The South African, Pule Mmodi, Kamohelo Mokotjo and Venezuelan international Edson Castillo were all turned away by Chiefs.
“For now you can say that, but it is never done until it’s over.” Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung told KickOff.
“But at the moment we are still busy. We don’t know yet how many players we might add. It depends on what the needs are and what might be available on the market.”
