Orlando Pirates new signing is in line to debut this weekend as the Soweto giants aim for their first win after the FIFA World Cup break.
Following their 2-0 loss against log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns last Friday, the Buccaneers will hope to bounce back and collect points when they visit Cape Town City this weekend.
In their arsenal, Bucs have ex-City’s versatile player in Craig Martin who was signed in December and is said to be in line to make his debut at the DHL Stadium on Saturday, according to close sources.
The 29-year-old had been one of the outstanding players for the Citizens since debuting for the side under Benni McCarthy in 2017.
He made eight league appearances, one in the MTN8 and three in the CAF Champions League in for the Cape side in the first half of the season before completing the move to Bucs.
Sources close to Bucs have confirmed that both Martin and veteran striker Ndumiso Mabena, who was also signed last month, are available for selection as coach Jose Riveiro is expected to make changes to his team in search of points to keep them in race for the league title.
