Orlando Pirates have seemingly added a striker coach to their technical team after Scott Chickelday confirmed his move to the Buccaneers.
Pirates have been struggling in front of goal and are one of three teams with less than 10 goals in the DStv Premiership this season so far.
As a consequence, Jose Riveiro has seemingly turned to Chickelday, who previously worked at academy level with Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers before opting to focus on strikers.
Chickelday has had some high-profile clients so far, with Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins among the players who have previously worked with him.
He has been focussing on strikers for about three years now, he recently told Sky Sports.
“There was a real niche for it. Players noticed that I had started doing it and it just went crazy, if I am honest,” he said in an interview.
On Thursday, Chickelday stated on social media that he has started working with the Buccaneers.
