Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro was not keen to give further details on Thembinkosi Lorch’s absence from his squad and didn’t want to engage in question over how much the winger is missed.

Lorch has been absent from the squad since August, with the club confirming he is expected to be “back at the end of January”.

“He is on track to rejoin his teammates for most of the second half of the season,” the club said via a statement ahead of the loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Riveiro, though, was not keen to give any more details on his recovery after the match.

“I don’t speak about injury players or individual players, it’s the same line like in the beginning of the season,” he told iDiski times.

When asked how much his side have missed the winger, the Spaniard was not prepared to discuss the importance of the 29-year-old.

“How can we measure that,” he said.

“Is there any tool measure how much affects that someone is not playing for the team?

“I cannot answer that question.”

Pirates return to action on Saturday when they will face Cape Town City in Cape Town at 17:30, sitting three points ahead of last season’s runners-up ahead of the clash.
