Benni McCarthy is excelling as a first team coach for Man United, and you don’t need a maths degree to deduce that he’s earning good cash.

Benni McCarthy made a career out of scoring goals, and now he’s coaching young players how to do the same thing.

According to The South African, It’s been reported that the ex-Ajax, Celta Vigo, Porto, Blackburn, West Ham and Orlando Pirates marksman is earning in excess of €46,000 a week, which translates to R820,000.

It’s a figure that is obviously dwarfed by the salaries taken home by the majority of the first-team players, but it’s still decent cash.

You don’t need us to tell you that Benni is a legend in the South African football fraternity.

Man United were well aware of his valuable attacking insights and how they could rub off on young players, so they welcomed him onto their first-team coaching staff in July this year.

His task is to sharpen the Red Devils up in the final third, and his work with Marcus Rashford of late has been particularly impressive.

For the majority of 2022, England striker Rashford had looked a disillusioned figure, but the 25-year-old is now back among the goals for club and country.

He’s even given Benni big props for that. “Rashy” was on the score sheet for England last night in their win over Wales.

You don’t need higher qualifications in mathematics to deduce that Benni McCarthy is doing something right with the Red Devils.
