Former Kaizer Chiefs star Pule Ekstein and Orlando Pirates’ Thabo Qalinge have been missing in action from AmaZulu’s squad this season.

The attacking midfielder made 10 appearances for Usuthu last season but there’s been no sign of him so far this season.

Ekstein joined the Kwa-Zulu Natal based side after spending two season’s abroad in Azerbaijan.

Prior to that, Ekstein rose to prominence during his initial stages at Kaizer Chiefs however he ultimately fizzled away before leaving the club in 2018. He spent five seasons at the Glamour Boys.

And now, a new report on Ekstein’s whereabouts has emerged.

“They are still AmaZulu players.” A FarPost report read regarding Pule Ekstein and Thabo Qalinge.

“They are just not training under the squad under coach Folz at the moment. That’s how it was when he joined the team.”
