Billiat has missed the previous two encounters against Marumo Gallants and SuperSport United after suffering knee discomfort against AmaZulu at the beginning of September.
According to Kick Off Magazine, he Zimbabwean has since returned to training during the current international break and will be in contention for selection this weekend.
Head coach Arthur Zwane recently stated that Billiat will most likely feature whenever available for selection.
Billiat is into his fifth season at Chiefs and still hasn’t won any silverware which always becomes a subject of interest whenever there is a cup competition to be played as knockout football provides the fastest route to winning a trophy.
Not only hasn’t the 32-year-old won trophies with Chiefs his returns have been of worry compared to what he has done at his previous clubs Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Billiat has scored 24 goals (plus 27 assists) through his time at Chiefs and these numbers are dwarfed by his contributions at Ajax and Sundowns.
At Sundowns – where he also spent five years – Billiat smashed 47 goals plus 43 assists in 140 appearances while at Ajax he had 24 goals (plus 24 assists) in 92 appearances.
This season he is yet to score and only has a single assist with Chiefs having battled for goals this season scoring more than once in a single match only twice from nine games.
He is into the last year of his contract at Chiefs and the weight of his package means he is always looked upon to deliver.
