This is the reason why we might see one or two players leaving Naturena before Thursday’s deadline.

With nine games played since the start of the season in August, coach Arthur Zwane has offered clear indications on which players are exactly in his plans.

Others are faced with the prospect of spending much of this season in the stands.

The list includes one player that has played just one minute, while the other two are yet to taste match action at all.

1. Erick Mathoho – The long-serving 32-year-old defender only made a very late substitute appearance against SuperSport United last weekend.

“Tower” has been linked with a move to Swallows FC.

2. Thabani Dube – The former Richards Bay FC central defender is yet to play and is linked with a loan move to his former club.

3. Keletso Sifama – After spending last season on loan at Maritzburg Unites, the 19-year-old Sifama is yet to make the bench.

New reports say Amakhosi have offered the man known as ‘Tower’ to Swallows. This is not surprising at all.

“Erick Mathoho’s future at Kaizer Chiefs appears uncertain as the Siya crew has established that the veteran defender has been offered to Swallows,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest edition.

“… the shock news coming out of Naturena is that Chiefs have had unofficial talks with the Dube Birds about Mathoho possibly joining them before the end of the transfer window which slams shut on 22 September,” the outlet added.

The report concluded to confirm that the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender, who joined 10 years ago in 2012, has 12 months remaining on his contract as a Glamour Boy.
