AmaZulu coach Brandon Truter believes his side are in with a major chance against Kaizer Chiefs.
This comes after Usuthu were drawn against the Glamour Boys in Monday night’s MTN8 semi-final draw.
The other semi-final will see Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates face-off.
According to Truter, it’s vital for AmaZulu to get something out from the first leg of the tie which will be hosted by Kaizer Chiefs.
In the words of Truter himself, ‘we fancy our chances against Chiefs’. Take a look at what he had to say about the titanic battle that looms below.
“We want to do well. For us at the moment, we want to win every match.” Truter told Soccer Laduma.
“This is a competition, a cup game. It’s a cup on offer, so if it’s there to be taken we fancy our chances against Kaizer Chiefs or against any team for that matter.
“I’m feeling confident and the boys have been playing well and the team is always improving in every match.
“I’m happy so far but there’s always a room for improvement because I expect us to be top quality and in top form facing Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of the semi-final of the MTN8.
“I think at the semi-final stage of any competition all the teams are top quality.
“There are no easy games of course, I think it’s all tough games. Drawing the Mighty Kaizer Chiefs is good for us in terms of testing.
“I think the first leg being an away draw, that gives us a bit of an advantage.”
“Also If you can get the job done away from home early, that puts us in a very good position in the second leg.”
