Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder has finally shared how much he used to earn when he first became a professional football player.

It is not too often that you hear a football player sharing how much he is currently earning or how much he used to earn in a particular club.

While the former Amakhosi captain and assistant coach Dr Khumalo did not hesitate to tell the media how much he used to get when he first played in the professional football.

According to The South African, Dr Khumalo used to walk away with R8 000 when he first became a football player. That was the year 1984.

Truly speaking, that was a lot of money back in the days.

When he joined Kaizer Chiefs, Doctor Khumalo was still 17 years old and was attending in high school.

Since he was not 18 yet, the contract was signed by his late father on the behalf of Doctor Khumalo.
