Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisani Zuma, who recently joined AmaZulu FC, has sent an emotional farewell message to Amakhosi fans after his Naturena exit.
Zuma was released by Amakhosi a few weeks ago after five years with the club. The KwaZulu-Natal born winger was released by Chiefs a year before his contract expired due to “numerous disciplinary issues“.
The 27-year-old quickly managed to find a new home after signing a four-year contract with AmaZulu, as reported by iDiski Times after speaking to his agent Basia Michaels.
While Chiefs’ releasing statement wasn’t short of criticism, ‘Msholozi’ shared a farewell message on his Instagram account, which his former club and fans nothing but the best.
“I would like to extend my warmest gratitude for the love and unwavering support I have received over the years since joining Kaizer Chiefs,” he wrote.
“To the KCFC management, technical team, players and the fans at large, thank you for awarding me the opportunity to play for such a prestigious club.
“You have installed in me the confidence to showcase my talents in front of millions of South Africans who love our beautiful game.
“The experience I have gained and all the lessons I’ve learnt are thanks to your criticism which has undoubtedly contributed immensely to my growth.
“I look forward to my next journey, as I take the learnings from the past five years into the future with me.
“AmaKhosi for life.”
Overall, Zuma has made 103 appearances for the Ephefeni Glamour Boys, scoring 13 goals and setting up 11 more.
