Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has sent a message to Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch after he missed the deciding penalty in Friday’s CAF Confederation Cup final.

Nyoso was one of Pirates’ more lively players in the game and scored his side’s late late equaliser in the 117th minute, earning himself the Man of the Match award.
Website notorious for leaking new football jerseys across the globe, Footyheadlines, dropped a sleek white away Amakhosi jersey!

It remains to be seen whether it is the actual Kaizer Chiefs away jersey but if anything is to go by based on the websites track record, it won’t be a surprise to see the Amakhosi donning this kit next season!

However, Lorch missed the deciding spot kick in the penalty shootout, resulting in his side to miss out on the title, with Khanye insisting the Buccaneers should’ve won the continental cup.

“This team from Morocco did not play better than Pirates. Both sides in fact did not deserve anything in this game,” Khanye said on iDiskiTV.

“That is why their only goal was from the penalty spot and Pirates’ goal was from (Thembinkosi) Lorch, who looked like he was passing it to someone.”

Khanye, though, insisted Lorch needs to work on his confidence and body language when taking such an important penalty.

“My message to Lorch is simple; you need to respect football boy. This game needs to be respected all the time,” he added.

“Lorch had one great season in 2019 and he has been flat ever since. You look at how he took his penalty kick, his body language did not give any confidence.

“It’s like this thing doesn’t matter to him. Even when he is playing, he plays in the wrong positions in the field. He needs to work on himself.

“Berkane are the champions, but truly speaking, none of these two teams deserved to win the match.”
